Washington Nationals Logo w/web and cross bones

Lion of Africa

Working on a back piece for a Howard University student. So far I have only completed the first outline for the first session. The next part if the shading. I feel like it will take at least one or two more sessions to complete the entire tattoo.

Now Working @ Pinz-N-Needlez Tattoo

After working at DC Ink for a whole year, I have decided to start looking for another shop. Artists were relocating to other shops, supply orders were being made at the last minute when we were in need of certain things, the owner is not in the tattoo industry; so there are certain things that he wont care about. Artists weren't showing up on time, so i had to do most of the side work that I wasn't responsible for. It's all good because hard work pays off.

I have found a post on Facebook that Pinz-N-Needlez had a spot open few another artist, with a a solid portfolio and at least 5 years of experience. Well, I'm working towards 3 years of tattooing so I had to take my chances. The shop has been keeping their eyes on me for quite some time now, and I was easily accepted.

I should be having a lot of fun here.

Liz's New Butterfly

A good friend of mine surprised me by coming into the shop today and she had no clue what she wanted to get tattooed. Of course I had to give her a piece of my mind..lol Within minutes of being difficult with her she now has a butterfly on the back of her neck.

Some Late Night Tattooing on a Friend

I was looking through some Facebook pictures of a close friend of mine, and I had found an interesting photograph that she had saved by a photographer that she admires. While I was supposed to tattoo something completely different on her, she was down for getting this photo tattooed on her.

Another Night: Sketchbook, my cell and a Pepsi

Inkfest Live Tattoo Convention in DC

I'm tattooing at my very first tattoo convention, taking place in November. I will be making stickers, a banner and I will probably have a sketchbook put together for sale. I'm pretty stoked, I might even enter one of the contests. Wish me luck :)

The Shades of a Lion

I decided to just do strictly shading for this particular tattoo. For as much as I like black and grey shading, I was definitely in my zone while tattooing with the exception of letting my client take a few smoke breaks. I am stoked that he is happy with how it turned out.

The Clash

Her own Dragonfly

A teacher from Howard University stopped by to get her very first tattoo, since she had promised her students that she will have a tattoo already done before the next semester. She came in with some references, but none of them were tattoo able. So I simply drew up something that would be unique just for her.

The Animaniacs

I used to love being a kid, watching my favorite cartoons act completely stupid and The Animaniacs was one of them. I enjoy tattooing characters in black and grey. I feel like it makes it look like a vintage photograph.

The New Chief in Town

I can't tell a woman to cover up her wig with another wig, but I damn sure can cover up an Indian headdress with another awesome Indian headdress.

Chicks dig Tigers

For some reason, women always come to the conclusion that tiger tattoos will cover up their stretch marks. And it actually works!!!!...lmao

Something Sexy for Her

I don't feel like typing right now. So I will just post up a picture of the tattoo that made her very happy.

The Rebirth: Actually wanting to Tattoo Again

I'm sure this means a lot more to the young lady who was getting her first tattoo, but it put me in a place where I needed to be. Somehow, some way just a butterfly and two flowers made me realize why I love tattooing so much.

I think that there is a lot more than you think that goes on with a good artist. That's probably why I have been going through so much, for the simple fact that I am still paying my dues. This industry doesn't accept just anybody, and I demand that they should let me in. Anyways, I'm blabbering about something other than the tattoo, this is how it turned out.

Make Her come back for Another

I'm always happy when somebody wants me to do their very first tattoo. My goal is to make them come back and have them itching to get tattooed over and over again. They say that tattooed are addictive, so I feel like I have added a new addict to my list.... Yep, she will be back.

A Day and Night with Paris

I had tattooed Paris's mother a couple of weeks ago, to dedicate a tattoo for the both of her daughters. A butterfly with a the both of their names in a banner, on her shoulder blade. So Paris decided to show the same dedication to her mother and her younger sister. At first, she wanted a moon with just the names included, but as I was drawing up the design, I felt like it was missing something. A shoulder blade is a big area, so just the moon wasn't good enough to stand alone with the two names. Within a short of amount of time I had decided to include a sun in the back of the moon, with some clouds to take up some of the empty space.

Lite as a Feather

There are many times when somebody that wants to get there first tattoo, that usually gets a name, their zodiac sign, or something small to experience getting tattooed. For somebody who waited in the lobby of the shop me for, especially with all of the other tattoos I had to do before I had the chance to really sit down to talk about what she desired to get tattooed, I had to find the energy to get her tattooed.

I've have tattooed plenty of feathers but I had to make sure that I did something different to make it worth looking at, especially in the spot that she wanted her first tattoo at..... Her ribs.
